Barbara ChildBarbara Child, originally from London, England, first started dancing as a teen, becoming a member of one of the top UK Latin dance teams at that time. This highly successful team danced together for five years providing the opportunity to its members to travel extensively throughout the UK and Europe for competitions & shows. She became an avid competitor enjoying favourable results. After moving to Canada she resumed competitive dancing as an amateur before turning Professional to teach and compete in both Standard and Latin. A Founding Member of Canadian Dancesport Federation. Currently teaching, training, and judging across Canada.

Diana LefebvreDiana, a native Albertan has invested 20 years in the development of dancesport in Alberta. Starting off in the Arthur Murray chain, Diana eventually became a Canadian 10 Dance Finalist and was the first Albertan to represent Canada at a World Professional Championship. She is the co-director of DancesportMD with her husband Martin Lefebvre and together they represented Canada for 6 years, including at the World Professional Latin Championships in Innsbruk, Austria. She is proud to have sent many dancers to finals week of So You Think You Can Dance CANADA, including 2 dancers who made the top 20. She has trained many Canadian finalists and has sent 4 couples to World Championship Dancesport events. Diana is also the creator and owner of Burlesquercise Canada, a rapidly growing fitness dance company with a burlesque twist.

Katerina MitchenkoEkaterina has more than twenty-five years of teaching and competing experience and is a Canadian Closed Champion in the Professional American Smooth Division. She is a 3-times Canadian Representative at the World Professional Latin and Showcase Championships and finalist of the World Professional Showcase Championship. Currently, she is the director and coach of youth DanceSport group “Fiesta Dancesport Club”, which has produced Canadian Junior Latin and Youth 10-dance Champions. Ekaterina also holds Canadian DanceSport Federation Adjudicators Licenses (A+,B+) with the experience of officiating DanceSport competitions in and out of Canada.

Kyryl DudchenkoKyryl started ballroom dancing when he was 7 years old in Ukraine. He underwent extensive training with different distinguished teachers and coaches in both Latin American and Modern/ standard programs as well as supplementary basic training in ballet. He has competed in numerous competitions all over Eastern and Western Europe as well as in North America, at fi rst representing Ukraine and then British Columbia, on international and local DanceSport arena. Furthermore, Kyryl also participated in the Canada-wide aired TV show, Dancing at the Palais. Since moving to Canada in 2000 and until turning professional Kyryl maintained highest amateur ranking position in British Columbia. In 2002 Kyryl became professional and since then teaching and coaching competitors (kids, teenagers and seniors) in both Latin and Standard divisions.

Angel ChuAngel Chu grew up here in Vancouver, Canada and was part of the UBC Dance Club. After graduating from UBC, her love for dance continued. She became the National 10 Dance Champions of Taiwan and were named as the representative to the World Championship. Angel is certified as a qualified Professional Latin-American and Ballroom Dance Teacher as well as International Adjudicator.

Benoit DroletBenoit started dancing at the age of 14 in his home town of Montreal. After an amateur career that culminated in winning two Canadian titles as well as three Quebec Championships, Benoit moved to England to pursue his professional career, and before long he was consistently placing in the top 12 in the world, making finals at the Japan Internationals, German Open, Dutch Open, as well as the semi-final of the Open British in Blackpool, UK and Internationals, to name a few. Upon retiring, he joined the critically acclaimed show "Burn The Floor" and toured Australia, Europe and the USA. His professional career took him to more than 30 countries for competing and demonstrating. Benoit is now back living in Canada and resides in Edmonton, Alberta, where he is now busy developing young talents in that relatively new dance community. At the same time, he still travels extensively throughout Canada and the USA for teaching, lecturing and adjudicating.

Roxana SamoilaAn accomplished dancer and a successful instructor with over 25 years of experience, Roxana is a holder of a Bachelor Degree in Physical Education and Sports. She is also a CDF certified instructor and an adjudicator for both International & American Styles. Roxana’s dancing expertise expands well over the limits of dancesport, into the area of rhythmic gymnastics, jazz & ballet. Together with her husband, Peter Samoila own Unique Dance, a dance school that has been awarded a diploma of excellence by Consulate General of Romania in recognition of an outstanding record of accomplishments beautifully demonstrated over the years. Her professional career, past and present is a true reflection of her unwavering commitment to excellence. |
